So I haven't posted in a little while. Anyway, life got a bit busy, and there wasn't a whole lot of information to write about. My post on the Kauai marathon will be switched to next year, as I will be in two weddings this year of college friends, and going to Orlando in June. Therefore other trips will probably be put on the backburner for now as we save some more money! Anyway, courtesy of a blog I follow, I saw this hilarious video from Tim Hawkins:

So excited!!
Ok, so this may seem ridiculous, but I found out today about a marathon/ half-marathon that will be going on in Kauai the weekend of our first anniversary! We had planned on going there for a honeymoon anyway, although life had other plans, so we're doing the delayed honeymoon deal, and what better time to go than our first anniversary?? (Even if it's just for a few days?)

Picture 1 of 365
One of my goals on my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days was to begin and finish a Project 365, which means posting a picture once a day for a year. What better way to do this than the start of 2010? So here you go....we got a Nintendo Wii from R's parents for Christmas this year, and as such R went to buy Wii Sports Resort so we could play. They have a game for Table Tennis, and sometimes you get a character like this one to play against:
That's right, R played Table Tennis against Michael Jackson, the Mii character, which the computer just randomly assigned him.

Livin' was almost fine in 2009
Actually, for the most part, it was awesome, all except for one part. These last 365 days have meant some significant changes to my life and my family. For instance:
1) My paternal grandmother lost her 7 year battle with metastatic breast cancer in March, and there's not a day that goes by that I wish I had just one more day with her. I grew up living with her and my dad (well at least the teenage years), so in a way we had way more than a typical grandmother-granddaughter relationship, and at times it may have been difficult (as most teenagers are not always known to be the nicest people to be around ALL the time), but she was always someone I could go to for help, advice, support and love.
2) R graduated with his masters degree and began working! I'm so unbelievably proud of him and his accomplishments so far!
3) We celebrated with friends by going to 7 weddings, not including our own. 3 of which were the same month as ours!
4) I began my first masters degree and will hopefully graduate in 2011 (I say hopefully, because I need to start working on my thesis paper).
5) I was given three bridal showers and a bachelorette party by my wonderful friends and family. I should probably start on my recaps of wedding related stuff, seeing as how it's the end of December and we got married in September!
6) We got married on Sept. 5!
7) We moved from Texas to Baltimore, MD, which for someone who had never even seen the East Coast, was a pretty drastic move. I've been to the Gulf Coast of Florida, but that's about it. So far it's been amazing, with the scenery and being able to visit all the different historical places of the Del-Mar-Va area, which for this lady who graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology is awesome!
8) We celebrated our first holiday season together, and R's family joined us in MD for Christmas! Which reminds me, I need to finish posting the recipes from my menu that week and post some pictures!
9) We'll be ringing in 2010 with a couple of good friends at their house, so have a safe and happy beginning to the New Year!!
