Some Bridal Portraits

I found some photos on discs the other day while unpacking a box. Granted these are from a year ago, but since I never posted photos of our wedding or bridal photos, I figured I could put these up. All images by Number 9 Photography, specifically Kimberly. Charlotte and Kimberly did our wedding photos. Number 9 is based out of Austin, TX, but are willing to travel as we got married in Fredericksburg, TX.

Yes, those boots and the hat are mine...some of the comfiest shoes ever made (cowboy boots in general), and no I don't usually wear the hat like that. Oh and I'm laughing in the photo due to a pizza customer who drove by at that point and mentioned out the window, "You know it's a wedding in Texas/ have Texans in it when the bride is wearing boots." Because he was right, for the most part.

So  I walked into Michaels today to just randomly look around, as I haven't been in the store in several months (even though since we moved, it's within walking distance). This week, they have a fabulous deal going on for various school supplies (whether you are the teacher or student) including these cute items:

That's right friends, Dr. Seuss styled bulletin board accents, bookmarks, class rules sets, etc. On top of that, they also have other bulletin board items, but most of those I noticed have the brand name Teacher Created Resources, which has it's own magazine and ordering site (and often sends you free stuff if you sign up for their emails).  Oh and at Michaels? If you happen to be a teacher, they have these *Teacher Fridays* where you can save an additional 10%, even though these goodies are currently on sale for Buy 2, Get One Free. They are also conveniently located near the dollar bins for more school supplies.

Life is good.

So, I've been gone for awhile. With that said, R and I have been super busy these last few months! I started a new job (which I'm completely in love with)! We were finally able to go on our honeymoon...and he surprised me a week befor we went by telling me we were going to Hawaii! We went to two islands, O'ahu and Kaua'i. We have an idea for our third anniversary of going back and adding a few people, as we share our anniversary with R's parents, and they will be celebrating 30 years together when we celebrate 3.

I'll post some photos from our trip sometime. We also moved to a new place which is fabulously larger than our previous place, as we now have a guest bedroom for people to stay when they come visit us! We hosted a get-together for the 4th of July at our place, and it was quite fun, sadly, no pictures were taken. I also found some bridal portrait photos in my unpacking, and may place some here at some point.

We bought a new car! Here is a file photo (ours is actually silver):

This past weekend, R and I actually both had the weekend off (a rarity for my schedule to coincide that way with his), so we decided to drive up to Gettysburg and out to Harper's Ferry, both places being only about an hour and a half from our place. I took a few photos, and this history buff learned some things I've never known before! I'll post more on that when I upload photos from my camera.
