PSA on Personal Security

I realize this may seem interesting to write on a blog, but I would encourage each of you to go to the website below and do a search on yourselves:  You may be surprised....I was! I even looked up some family members to see if this website had others' information as well. They actually published not only a photo of a house I used to live in, but my former home phone number as well. By the way, the website and information are FREE...you read that right, free for anybody and everybody to gain access to.
Here's the website: http://www.spokeo.com/

Here's the link to remove your profile ( I can almost guarantee you will need to): http://www.spokeo.com/privacy

Dinner and randomness

So I think it's now considered an epic fail that I had on my list of to-dos to write on this at least 15 times a month....I'm just now going to revert to writing whenever life allows. I love life and all its craziness and busyness(sp?)!! I cannot believe it's almost April, but it's starting to look beautiful here on the Mid-Atlantic coast. With that said, it's been raining/ overcast days the last three days! I ran my first 5k on the 21st! All in all didn't think I did too bad....doing another one on the 10th of April in suuport of the philanthropic cause of the chapter of my sorority that I advise. That will be a fun one, then later that afternoon I get to pick up my cousin Linz from the airport!! SO excited she's coming to visit, and we'll be going to explore DC together for a little bit. Anyway...without further ado...I give you tonight's dinner as I had pork chops in our freezer that I wanted to eat. Southern Living saves the day with a recipe for Tuscan Pork Chops from 2003! I've been pretty successful with the transition to once a week shopping trips and having a menu planned a couple weeks in advance...that is when I'm not working too late for dinner. I also realized the other day that I forgot to post some recipes from our Christmas menu...for that I apologize and will rectify as soon as possible. Have a good one!

Workouts

So with my first 5K coming up on the 21st of March, I've been working out a little every day (or at least trying to, some days it just doesn't happen).

My typical weekly schedule goes a little like this: 3 days of running a set distance (with an added mile each new week), 2 days of cross-training (typically lighter such as elliptical or working with my Wii Fit Plus....if you put it on actual make a workout mode, and not just separate exercises you can do enough to burn some major calories in an hour), and 2 days of strictly lifting weights/ strength exercises (my favorite is the lose a jean size in a month from August of 2008 Fitness magazine, it's still online, if you want to look it up).

Today's: I ran the 5K with a 6.31min per km pace...roughly translated 11:30ish per mile.

Hope everybody's enjoying March!! I'm so ready for Spring, you wouldn't believe it!
